What You Get

• ShipStation — every insured order is flagged in a ShipStation custom field, so an automation rule adds the insurance when the label is made. No ShipStation API keys needed

Why Some Services Only Get Help, Not a Button

Shippo, FedEx, UPS and USPS add insurance only while the label is being bought. It cannot be added afterwards, and your store cannot request it from outside. So for those the Pro add-on gives you the exact value and contents to enter at that moment, and picks up the tracking number afterwards. ShipStation is flagged so its own automation can add the insurance. EasyPost is different: it can insure a package after the label exists, using the tracking number, so that connection can buy the insurance for you.

Only the EasyPost connection can spend money, only in the mode you choose, with your own EasyPost account, up to a per-package limit you set. It makes one attempt per order and never retries a failure or a timeout on its own, so a package is never insured twice by mistake. Use a test key first.

How Licensing Works

• Pro is an annual subscription at $49 per year. After you subscribe, your license key appears in your CCMS account
• Paste the key under WooCommerce → Shipping Insurance → Pro License and click Activate License
• If the subscription ends, the Pro features switch off. Orders, settings and the free plugin are untouched, and nothing is deleted
• The plugin checks your license about once an hour, sending only your key and your site address to CCMS. Nothing is sent if no key is saved

Requirements

• The free CCMS Shipping Insurance for WooCommerce plugin, installed and active
• WooCommerce 6.0+, WordPress 5.8+ and PHP 7.4+
• A Pro license key from your CCMS account
• For ShipStation: the official “ShipStation for WooCommerce” plugin. For EasyPost: your own EasyPost API key

Installation

• Install and activate WooCommerce and the free CCMS Shipping Insurance for WooCommerce plugin
• Subscribe to Pro, then download the Pro plugin ZIP
• Upload and activate it under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
• Enter your key under Shipping Insurance → Pro License, then open the new Connections tab and switch on the services you use
